AW Education International has unveiled a landmark partnership designed to establish a major regional education hub in Saudi Arabia, signalling a significant pivot in its global strategy to deepen cross-border academic exchange and student services across the Middle East. The collaboration, formalised on February 5, 2026, in Beijing, unites the Beijing-headquartered consultancy with Dr Ahmed, who previously served as Cultural and Education Attaché for Saudi Arabia in China, and Abdallah, the executive director of a leading Saudi education institution, to anchor AW Education Saudi Arabia as a core base for expansion across the Gulf Cooperation Council.

The move places Saudi Arabia at the centre of AW Education’s plan to grow its footprint, with the kingdom poised to serve as the gateway for up to ten new international branches the company aims to open over the next decade. AW Education, known for advising high-net-worth families on global study opportunities, is returning to its Beijing announcement with a pledge to tailor services to the needs of Saudi students and expand reciprocal academic mobility between the kingdom, China, and Western universities.

Company executives described the Saudi hub as a departure from traditional outreach, with a stronger focus on localisation and long-term engagement. Rather than solely processing applications abroad, the Saudi arm will develop customised education pathways, providing language training, university and course selection guidance, admissions support and in-country transition assistance for students pursuing degrees in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. This approach reflects a broader strategy to embed AW Education more firmly within local education ecosystems while maintaining its international networks.

Officials at the launch said that by encouraging Saudi students to consider options in Chinese universities and facilitating partnerships between Chinese and Saudi higher education institutions, AW Education aims to rebalance academic exchange flows. The plan envisages strengthening ties with universities in China and the West alike and enabling mutual collaboration that goes beyond traditional recruiting and placement models.

The Saudi hub will be staffed with a local team tasked with delivering end-to-end support for students and families, blending AW Education’s global experience with deep understanding of the Gulf region’s cultural and educational priorities.
