Romania’s Embassy Glows With Unity in Abu Dhabi

Diplomats, business leaders and members of the expatriate community gathered at the Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers to join a reception hosted by the Romanian Ambassador to the UAE, Bogdan Octavian Badica, marking Romania’s National Day. The gathering drew a wide array of attendees, including Sheikh Hamdan bin Khalifa bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, Honorary President of the Romanian Business Council, reflecting the strong ties between Romania and the United Arab Emirates.

Ambassador Badica opened the ceremony by paying tribute to Romania’s national heritage and underscoring the shared values that bind Romania and the UAE. Among those present were senior officials from various embassies, members of the diplomatic corps and leaders of business and community organisations, signalling a broad-based interest in deepening bilateral engagement.

The reception stood out for its festive yet diplomatic ambience. Guests mingled over traditional Romanian delicacies and national drinks, while soft music played in the background and displays showcased Romania’s cultural landmarks. The event offered a platform for informal chats between Emirati dignitaries and Romanian representatives on potential economic collaboration, cultural exchange and mutual support.
