Barceló Enters Bahrain Market with Seef District Launch

Barceló Hotel Group has inaugurated its first property in Bahrain, marking a significant step in the Spanish hospitality brand’s expansion across the Gulf region. The new Barceló Hotel & Residences, located in Manama’s Seef district, introduces 195 rooms and suites designed to cater to both business and leisure travellers.

The 20-storey hotel features a rooftop sports bar and swimming pool offering panoramic views of the Arabian Gulf. Guests can choose from a variety of room options, including interconnected family suites and accommodations with private balconies or kitchenettes. The property also boasts a wellness centre, a fully equipped gym, a business centre, and a kids' club, aiming to provide a comprehensive hospitality experience.

Dining options at the hotel include an all-day restaurant, an à la carte venue, a café, and the rooftop sports bar. The hotel is strategically situated near key landmarks such as the Bahrain World Trade Center, the Diplomatic Area, and Bahrain International Airport, making it a convenient choice for travellers.

This opening is part of Barceló Hotel Group’s broader strategy to expand its presence in the Middle East. The company has announced plans to invest over $400 million in the region, with upcoming projects in Saudi Arabia and Oman. The group currently operates properties in Dubai and Mussanah, Oman, and has reported significant growth in visitors from Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

José Canals, Managing Director for the Middle East, Asia, Mediterranean, and North Africa at Barceló Hotel Group, emphasized the importance of the Gulf market in the company's expansion plans. He noted that the new Bahrain property aligns with the group's commitment to providing high-quality hospitality experiences in key regional markets.
