TAHA signs deal with leading Chinese firm

TAHA International for Industrial Services (TIIS), a leading aluminum dross processor headquartered in Bahrain, has signed a strategic agreement with China Nonferrous Metal Industry's Foreign Engineering and Construction Co. (NFC), a major player in building aluminum smelters.

The collaboration focuses on incorporating TAHA's innovative hot dross processing technology into NFC's service package for its global clientele. This technology transforms aluminum dross, typically considered waste, into a valuable commercial resource. This not only reduces waste but also mitigates environmental harm from traditional disposal methods.

"Our commitment to technological innovation and sustainable solutions is a winning strategy," said Ammar Awachi, CEO of TIIS. "We are excited to contribute to greening the Chinese aluminum industry and international projects under the Belt and Road Initiative."

The agreement grants NFC global usage of TAHA's patent through Barenyam Holdings International, a subsidiary of TechEngg Group in India. This ensures extensive global reach and customer service for the technology.

"Partnering with TAHA, a prominent player in hot dross processing, signifies a significant step forward for NFC," said NFC President Qin Junman. "This collaboration will enhance our reputation and amplify our contributions to China's aluminum industry's global prominence."

Ernst & Young collaborated with Montan University Loeben in a 2021 study that highlighted TAHA's hot dross processing potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by over 81%.

"TAHA's technology aligns perfectly with our strategic objectives, positioning us as a frontrunner in the market," said Bobby Mohanty, Chairman of TechEngg Group. "This partnership offers increased efficiency, waste reduction, and adherence to environmental regulations."

This agreement marks a significant milestone for both companies, fostering collaboration and environmental responsibility in the global aluminum industry.
