Web3 Convergence Set to Ignite Abu Dhabi Blockchain Scene

A high‑impact Web3 and blockchain summit will convene in Abu Dhabi on 10 and 11 December 2025 at the Space42 Arena, gathering thousands of industry leaders, innovators, investors, startups, media and policymakers under one roof. Organised by VAP Group and powered by Times of Blockchain, the Global Blockchain Show Abu Dhabi is poised to become a strategic epicentre in the region’s march towards digital asset maturity and enterprise integration.

The two‑day event is projected to attract between 5,000 and 7,000 attendees, hosting up to 250 thought leaders, 350 pioneering companies, and several hundred media representatives. The theme, “Meet the Top 1 % in Web3,” underscores its ambition to unite the most influential stakeholders driving innovation across the blockchain landscape.

Speakers confirmed include industry figures such as Sébastien Borget, co‑founder of The Sandbox; Andy Tang, partner at Draper Associates; and Matthew King, co‑founder and managing partner of Valhalla Ventures. The event will also host fireside chats, keynotes, panel discussions and spotlight sessions focused on topics such as crypto’s real‑world consumer impacts; next‑generation trading platforms; scaling Web3 ecosystems; metaverse dynamics; AGI convergence with blockchain; and evolution of Web3 wallets and cloud infrastructure.

Anchored amid Abu Dhabi Blockchain Week, the show coincides with high‑profile gatherings including Bitcoin MENA, Solana Breakpoint and Abu Dhabi Finance Week, offering attendees extended networking opportunities across multiple adjacent events. Venue advantages include dedicated Startup Zones, VIP lounges, networking lounges, and matchmaking tools—highlighting the organisers’ emphasis on meaningful connections over sheer scale.

For early‑stage founders, the summit is being described as more than a conference—it is a launchpad. The Startup Zone promises exposure to top‑tier VCs, angel investors, sovereign funds and corporate partners, plus chances to pitch, get funding, and gain media coverage in a highly curated, purpose-built environment. Statistical insights from event data indicate that nearly half of attendees in past editions were C‑level executives—one analysis suggests 77 % attendance at that level, making the developer and founder density especially favourable. Geographic representation spans the Middle East, Asia, Europe and the United States.

Abu Dhabi’s positioning as a blockchain‑friendly jurisdiction adds regulatory and financial appeal. The UAE’s comprehensive Web3 licensing system and attractive tax regime have fostered a robust ecosystem—facilitating access to significant capital pools, including tens of billions secured in crypto investments and on‑chain value flows across MENA.

Attendees can expect an agenda that blends forward‑looking discourse with practical use‑cases. Sessions will tackle regulatory frameworks, digital asset tokenisation, DeFi infrastructure, enterprise blockchain, security, AI‑blockchain convergence, NFTs and gaming. Demonstrations, pitch battles, hackathons, and media exposure opportunities will further enrich the experience.
