Air Arabia Abu Dhabi Opens Direct Route to Assiut

Air Arabia Abu Dhabi will begin operating non-stop flights between Zayed International Airport and Assiut International Airport in Egypt from 4 November 2025, with two flights per week on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The new route makes Assiut the third Egyptian destination served by the carrier, alongside Cairo and Alexandria. The airline intends this service to deepen its presence in Egypt and offer more affordable travel options for both stateside and outbound passengers.

Adel Al Ali, Air Arabia Abu Dhabi’s Group Chief Executive Officer, described the service to Assiut as an extension “into Upper Egypt directly from the UAE capital,” emphasizing enhanced convenience and affordability for travellers between the two countries.

Operating with its fleet of twelve Airbus A320 aircraft, the airline currently serves more than 30 international destinations from Abu Dhabi. It has announced plans to expand both its fleet and route network before the year’s end.

Onboard services will include free in-flight streaming under the SkyTime offering, affordable catering via SkyCafe, and a loyalty scheme called Air Rewards. Tickets for the new Abu Dhabi–Assiut flights are now on sale via the airline’s official channels.
