Rana Group collaborates with RAKEZ to establish Erisha Hub in Ras Al Khaimah

Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone has entered into a strategic partnership with Rana Group to establish the Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub. The collaboration marks a pivotal moment for the expansion of Rana Group’s electric vehicle subsidiary, Erisha E Mobility, into the Middle East and African markets. The new hub in Ras Al Khaimah is expected to drive innovation in EV manufacturing while also providing a solid foundation for the group’s further growth in India.

The agreement, which was formalized earlier this month, aims to leverage RAKEZ’s world-class infrastructure and connectivity to establish a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility focused on smart EV technology. The Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub will focus on research, development, and production of electric vehicles, particularly designed to cater to the unique demands of the Middle East and Africa regions.

Erisha E Mobility’s market entry into these regions is expected to stimulate the EV sector, which has been witnessing rapid growth due to increased demand for sustainable transportation options. As countries in the Middle East and Africa continue to focus on reducing their carbon footprints and moving toward greener energy sources, the new manufacturing hub will play a crucial role in promoting electric mobility solutions across these regions.

One of the key advantages of the collaboration is the strategic location of Ras Al Khaimah, which provides access to a rapidly growing market and essential export routes. RAKEZ’s role in facilitating this growth through their comprehensive support for international businesses has been a central factor in attracting the partnership with Rana Group. RAKEZ offers a robust business environment, including tax incentives, and provides access to a wide range of services tailored for industries such as manufacturing and clean technology.

According to industry experts, the UAE, along with other Gulf Cooperation Council countries, has become a crucial hub for advanced manufacturing and clean-tech sectors. With global demand for electric vehicles on the rise, Rana Group’s decision to set up a manufacturing hub in Ras Al Khaimah is aligned with the UAE's ambitions to foster innovation and become a leader in green technology. The hub will also serve as an export point for Erisha E Mobility’s products to other parts of the Middle East and Africa.

Rana Group’s Chief Executive Officer, Manoj Rana, highlighted that the establishment of the Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub will enable the company to meet the growing demand for EVs while maintaining a commitment to sustainability. "We are excited to collaborate with RAKEZ on this important project that will not only expand our footprint in the Middle East and Africa but also support our existing operations in India. This hub will be the cornerstone of our long-term strategy in the region," said Rana.

For RAKEZ, the partnership marks another milestone in its efforts to attract high-value investments and companies involved in advanced technologies. The presence of a leading player like Erisha E Mobility will bolster RAKEZ’s reputation as a key player in the global business landscape and contribute to the UAE's broader goal of diversifying its economy and reducing its dependence on oil.

The UAE has long been recognised as a pivotal player in global manufacturing, attracting investments in sectors such as aviation, clean energy, and technology. With the addition of the Erisha Smart Manufacturing Hub, the region further cements its position as a destination for cutting-edge industries. Additionally, the growing demand for sustainable transportation across the Middle East and Africa presents significant opportunities for the manufacturing sector.

As Erisha E Mobility advances its operations in Ras Al Khaimah, the company is also strengthening its presence in India, where the demand for electric vehicles is growing exponentially. India, which is one of the world’s largest automotive markets, is gradually transitioning towards electric mobility as part of its efforts to combat pollution and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.
