The company, co‑founded by Taoufik El Jamali, Omar AlShoubaki and Amine Chouki, has drawn capital from investors including Shorooq Partners, Bunat Ventures and Plug and Play, building on an earlier $4 million seed round led by Silicon Badia with backing from RZM and others. That seed round followed a launch in March 2024 and helped Journify achieve $1 million in annual recurring revenue within nine months, while reaching some 30 million users across the MENA region.
With the new capital, Journify has expanded regionally, raising revenues five‑fold and doubling its valuation within six months. The platform powers first‑party data activation across major ad channels—such as Meta, Google, TikTok and Snapchat—via server‑side integrations to preserve privacy while delivering targeted personalisation.
Its commercial traction includes a 182 per cent increase in return on ad spend and a 51 per cent reduction in cost per purchase for Jarir on Meta, alongside an 80 per cent ROAS boost and 44 per cent CPP reduction for Baytonia via TikTok.
The collaboration with AstroLabs enables Journify to tap into a local network and open a Riyadh office, positioning the company to support Saudi brands through enhanced infrastructure and market insight. AstroLabs, a Dubai‑based business‑setup specialist with a Riyadh hub, guides international firms through licensing, compliance and ecosystem integration, and has supported hundreds of major expansions into Saudi Arabia.
Journify’s entry aligns with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objective of building a digitally driven economy. “Saudi Arabia is one of the fastest‑growing digital economies in the world,” said Taoufik El Jamali, emphasising the platform’s ability to aid brands in scaling acquisition within a privacy‑first environment. Alex Nicholls, director of expansion at AstroLabs, underscored how marketing decisions in the Saudi market demand the kind of data‑driven intelligence Journify can deliver.
Beyond regional expansion, the fresh investment is fueling development of agent‑based AI systems capable of automating media buying, customer journey optimisation and campaign targeting. Those enhancements promise to position Journify as a central data layer for marketers adapting to stricter privacy standards and fading third‑party cookies.
Competitive pressure in Saudi’s marketing‑tech space is on the rise. Local platforms like Lucidya offer AI‑driven customer‑experience management with real‑time insights and Arabic sentiment analytics across the GCC. Nonetheless, Journify’s global footprint, swift performance results and focus on scalable first-party data activation provide it with substantial differentiation.
