Oman Strengthens Global Travel Trade Ties with TBO Holidays Alliance

Visit Oman, the Sultanate’s official B2B travel booking platform, has entered into a strategic partnership with TBO Holidays, a prominent global travel distribution company. This collaboration aims to enhance Oman's visibility and accessibility within the international travel trade sector by leveraging TBO's extensive network of travel agents and tour operators.

The alliance is designed to streamline the booking process for travel professionals, offering a comprehensive range of Omani tourism products and services. By integrating Visit Oman's offerings into TBO Holidays' platform, the partnership seeks to provide seamless access to Oman's diverse travel experiences, from cultural tours to adventure activities.

This initiative aligns with Oman's broader strategy to diversify its economy through tourism, as outlined in the National Tourism Strategy 2040. By enhancing digital connectivity and expanding its reach in key source markets, Oman aims to attract a larger share of international tourists and stimulate economic growth within the sector.

The collaboration with TBO Holidays follows a series of strategic partnerships by Visit Oman with global travel technology companies. Notably, Visit Oman has previously joined forces with Expedia Group to boost digital distribution of Omani tourism offerings, integrating local tour and activity providers onto Expedia's platform and launching targeted marketing campaigns in the US, UK, and Middle East.

In addition, Visit Oman has partnered with Prioticket, a global connectivity platform, to digitize the country's tourism sector. This collaboration enables B2B stakeholders, including online travel agents, hotels, and tour operators, to craft bespoke visitor experiences and facilitates mobile transactions and timely bookings.

Furthering its digital transformation, Visit Oman has also established a partnership with Omantel, Oman's leading telecommunications provider. This alliance integrates Omantel's loyalty program, Makasib, into Visit Oman's booking platform, allowing customers to redeem points for tourism-related experiences and supporting local SMEs by offering unique rewards and special offers.

Visit Oman has collaborated with Attraction World Group, a global distributor of travel experiences, to expand the digital footprint of Oman's tourism sector. This partnership aims to enhance the accessibility of Omani tourism products to an international audience, particularly benefiting small and medium enterprises.

The partnership with TBO Holidays is expected to further amplify these efforts by providing a robust platform for Omani tourism suppliers to reach a wider network of travel professionals. By offering real-time booking capabilities and a diverse portfolio of travel experiences, the alliance seeks to position Oman as a premier destination for global travellers.
