UAE Extends Medical Lifeline to 16th Group of Palestinian Children, Cancer Patients

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) continues its humanitarian efforts to support the Palestinian people, welcoming the 16th group of wounded children and cancer patients from the Gaza Strip. This initiative, directed by President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, aims to provide critical medical care for 1,000 injured children and another 1,000 battling cancer.

A flight carrying the latest group arrived at Zayed International Airport on Saturday, April 27th. It originated from Al Arish International Airport in Egypt and transported 25 patients requiring urgent medical attention, alongside 51 family members. Medical personnel swiftly whisked away those in critical need to hospitals for immediate treatment, while others were settled at the Emirates Humanitarian City.

The UAE's commitment to this initiative reflects its unwavering support for its Palestinian brethren. The country's state-of-the-art healthcare facilities will provide the highest quality treatment for the children and cancer patients. This vital support comes amidst ongoing challenges faced by the Gaza Strip's healthcare sector.

The families expressed immense gratitude to the UAE's leadership for this noble humanitarian gesture. They see this initiative as a shining example of solidarity and unwavering support between sister nations.

Since the program's inception, over 1,150 Palestinians have benefited from this critical medical aid program. This includes 585 wounded children and cancer patients, along with 569 family members who have accompanied them. The UAE's ongoing efforts aim to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people and offer a beacon of hope during difficult times.
