MCIT’s involvement signals a sharpened focus on digital transformation, innovation, and inclusive entrepreneurship, aligned with Qatar’s Third National Development Strategy, Vision 2030, and its Digital Agenda 2030. The Ministry aims to deepen its role in emerging technologies and scale entrepreneurial ecosystems through public-private collaboration.
Faraj Jassim Abdulla, Director of the Digital Economy Department at MCIT, emphasised the importance of providing a platform where entrepreneurs and innovators across the GCC can “connect, share ideas, and explore growth opportunities.” He underlined that such partnerships are critical to accelerating the digital economy and positioning Qatar as a regional innovation hub.
Organisers The Business Year and Msheireb Properties will host the event, bringing attention to trends such as scaling of start-ups, investment environment shifts, and innovation-led public policy. One of the new highlights is the “AI for Good Innovation Challenge,” produced in collaboration with YAILs and its Doha chapter. MCIT will play a central role in shaping that programme to ensure alignment with national priorities.
Barahat Msheireb in downtown Doha has been selected as the venue, reflecting its growing reputation as a convergence zone for culture, technology, business, and policy discussions. The event aims to explore how entrepreneurship can contribute to economic growth in the GCC through digital inclusion, innovation, and stronger regulatory frameworks.
