Marriott International is expanding its footprint in Saudi Arabia with the introduction of its luxurious W Hotels brand to the capital city, Riyadh. The agreement, signed with the King Abdullah Financial District Development & Management Company (KAFD DMC), paves the way for the opening of W Riyadh in 2025.

Targeting both business travelers and those seeking an upscale leisure experience, W Riyadh promises to be a luxurious urban escape within the heart of the city. Guests can expect 210 ultra-modern rooms and suites, offering unparalleled comfort and style. The hotel will boast a diverse culinary scene with seven restaurants, catering to a range of palates.

Those seeking retail therapy can explore the bespoke retail spaces within the hotel, while extensive event and meeting facilities cater to corporate gatherings and social functions.

W Riyadh will stay true to the brand's signature style, incorporating popular W elements. The hotel will feature the Living Room, a vibrant social hub known for its buzzing atmosphere and innovative cocktails. Guests can soak up the sun and unwind at the WET Deck, the brand's signature poolside scene. Relaxation and rejuvenation will be on offer at the AWAY Spa, while the FIT fitness center provides a space for guests to maintain their exercise routines.

The arrival of W Riyadh reflects the growing importance of Saudi Arabia's capital as a regional hub for business and tourism. Strategically located within the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), the hotel will be a short 20-minute drive from King Khaled International Airport. KAFD itself is the world's largest LEED-certified mixed-use business destination, highlighting the focus on sustainable development that aligns with Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 plan.

This collaboration between Marriott International and KAFD DMC signifies a significant milestone in the expansion of KAFD. W Riyadh is expected to be a key player in positioning KAFD as a premier lifestyle destination, not only for Riyadh, but for the entire region. The hotel's arrival also underscores the city's rapid transformation into a global destination for business and leisure travelers.
