Empost Names Sultan Al Midfa New Leader

The United Arab Emirates' national courier company, Empost, a subsidiary of Emirates Post, has announced the appointment of Sultan Al Midfa as its new General Manager. Al Midfa takes the reins after Essa Al Daboos' retirement, bringing over two decades of experience within the Emirates Post Group to the role.

Al Midfa's journey with the organization began in 1997, following his graduation with a Business Administration degree from the Higher Colleges of Technology in the UAE. He honed his skills at Royal Mail in the UK in 1998 before joining Emirates Post's International Affairs department. In 2003, he transitioned to Empost, steadily rising through the ranks to become Deputy General Manager two years later.

Expressing his honor at the promotion, Al Midfa acknowledged the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead. "This appointment is a great privilege," he remarked, "but it does not diminish the effort required to achieve Empost's strategic goals." He emphasized his commitment to expanding Empost's domestic and international courier network while introducing innovative services. "My predecessor leaves behind a remarkable legacy," Al Midfa continued, "and I am determined to build upon his success, solidifying Empost's position as a regional leader in efficient courier services."

Al Midfa's promotion coincides with the appointment of Abdullah Ibrahim Al Juwaied as Empost's new Deputy General Manager. Al Juwaied, a trailblazer among Emirati nationals to receive postal service training, boasts a distinguished career within Emirates Post since joining in 1988. He most recently served as the Manager of Dubai Postal Offices, where he ensured the overall quality of postal services.
