Largest Ever "Birds of Goodness" Airdrop Reaches Gaza

On the second day of Eid al-Fitr, a beacon of hope arrived from the sky for residents of northern Gaza. The "Birds of Goodness" initiative, a collaboration between the United Arab Emirates and Egypt, delivered its largest ever airdrop of humanitarian aid and Eid clothing.

This 31st mission since the program's inception provided 125 tons of critical supplies to the region. Six aircraft, including three UAE C-17s and a combined offering from the Egyptian Air Force of C-295s and a C-130, participated in the airlift.

The carefully curated aid packages included essential food items to address ongoing food insecurity in Gaza. A particularly noteworthy element of the airdrop coincided with the festive spirit of Eid al-Fitr. Special Eid clothing parcels were included, ensuring families could celebrate the holiday with dignity.

Reached by land, these isolated areas in northern Gaza often face logistical challenges. The "Birds of Goodness" program offers a vital solution, ensuring aid reaches those who need it most. This latest airdrop marks a significant milestone in the ongoing effort to support the Palestinian people. Since its inception, "Birds of Goodness" has delivered a total of 1,857 tons of food and relief supplies, a testament to the program's unwavering commitment.

The UAE has significantly bolstered its humanitarian efforts in the region. This airdrop forms part of Operation "Gallant Knight 3," a wider initiative designed to provide sustained aid to Gaza. The collaboration with Egypt further strengthens the program's reach and impact.

The joy of Eid al-Fitr was undoubtedly amplified for many Gazan families this year. The "Birds of Goodness" program serves as a powerful symbol of international solidarity, offering a much-needed lifeline to a population facing significant challenges.
