Deliveroo Users Can Now Fight Hunger Through App

Food delivery giant Deliveroo is lending a digital hand to the fight against hunger. The company recently announced that users of its app can now directly contribute to the "Stop One Billion Meals" campaign. This initiative, launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aims to provide long-term food security to vulnerable communities worldwide.

Deliveroo's integration with the campaign makes donating easier than ever. Users can seamlessly donate various amounts directly through the app, with options ranging from AED 10 to AED 500. These contributions will be directed towards the "Stop One Billion Meals" endowment, a sustainable program designed to combat hunger through long-term solutions like food production and distribution initiatives.

This move by Deliveroo aligns perfectly with the company's existing commitment to social responsibility. Their "Full Life" program, already active in ten countries, tackles food insecurity at its roots. By incorporating the "Stop One Billion Meals" campaign into their app, Deliveroo is not only raising awareness about the global hunger crisis but also empowering their vast user base to make a real difference.

"We are incredibly proud to partner with the 'Stop One Billion Meals' campaign," said Anis Harb, General Manager at Deliveroo Middle East. "This initiative perfectly complements our existing efforts to ensure everyone has access to nutritious food. Through the convenience of our app, we hope to inspire our users to join us in this fight against hunger."

The "Stop One Billion Meals" campaign builds upon the success of previous philanthropic endeavors launched by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. Most notably, the "10 Million Meals" campaign, which kicked off in Ramadan of 2020, provided vital food assistance to millions in need. The current campaign seeks to achieve a far greater impact, aiming to eradicate hunger on a global scale through a sustainable, long-term approach.

Deliveroo's contribution to the "Stop One Billion Meals" campaign is a prime example of how technology can be leveraged to address pressing social issues. By integrating charitable giving into their app, Deliveroo is making it easier than ever for people to get involved in the fight against hunger. This innovative approach has the potential to significantly boost the campaign's reach and impact, bringing the dream of a world free from hunger a step closer to reality.
