Arada Extends Ramadan Initiative "Home for a Home" to Support Syrian Families

Property developer Arada has announced the continuation of its successful Ramadan initiative, "Home for a Home," for a third year. This year's program aims to provide much-needed housing to vulnerable families in Syria who have been displaced by ongoing conflict and the devastating February 2023 earthquakes.

Building on the program's previous success in Kenya, "Home for a Home" will function similarly during Ramadan. For each property sold in Arada's communities throughout the holy month, a new home will be constructed in Syria for a displaced family. This initiative directly addresses the critical need for safe and secure housing faced by many Syrians grappling with the aftermath of war and natural disasters.

The program's prior iterations, implemented in partnership with The Big Heart Foundation (TBHF) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), delivered remarkable results. Over 700 homes were built for refugee families in northern Kenya, alongside sustainable water infrastructure benefiting an estimated 43,000 people. The innovative partnership model behind "Home for a Home" was recognized at the 2023 Arabia CSR Awards, solidifying its impactful approach.

"We are honored to extend the 'Home for a Home' initiative for a third year," said Arada CEO, highlighting the company's commitment to social responsibility. "This year, our focus is on alleviating the housing crisis faced by countless families in Syria. By providing them with safe and secure homes, we hope to empower them to rebuild their lives."

The specific details of the Syrian project, including the chosen location and partnering organizations, are expected to be announced closer to Ramadan. However, Arada has emphasized its commitment to collaborating with reputable NGOs with extensive experience in humanitarian aid and reconstruction efforts in Syria.

This extension of "Home for a Home" reflects Arada's dedication to creating a positive social impact alongside its core business operations. The initiative not only fosters a sense of community and shared purpose during Ramadan but also provides a tangible way for potential homeowners to contribute to a worthy cause. By aligning their property purchase with Arada's charitable efforts, homebuyers become active participants in offering a brighter future for displaced families in Syria.
