Saudi University Sets World Record with Largest Dental Hospital

King Saud University (KSU) in Riyadh has secured a place in the Guinness World Records as the largest dental hospital globally, spanning an expansive 37,165 square meters. This accomplishment underscores the university’s dedication to healthcare services, medical education, training initiatives, and scientific research, aligning with the objectives outlined in Saudi Vision 2030.

KSU's medical city, comprising three campus hospitals and eight affiliated centers of excellence, delivers treatment services while fostering medical education and research. This milestone follows the medical city's impressive global ranking, securing the 64th position worldwide and ranking third locally in the FINANCE BRAND's annual assessment of the top 250 hospitals globally.

At the forefront of this achievement is the university's dental hospital, now recognized as one of the world's premier dental facilities. The hospital offers a comprehensive array of educational, training, surgical, and consultative services across various specialties. These include cleft lip and palate clinics, dentistry catering to patients with special needs and autism, and oral and maxillofacial pain clinics. Additionally, the hospital houses a pathology laboratory dedicated to diseases of the mouth, face, and jaws.

KSU's commitment to excellence in the medical field has positioned its dental hospital not only as a record-breaking facility but also as a globally respected institution. The recognition by Guinness World Records solidifies the university's status as a leader in advancing healthcare services and medical education.

This accolade also underscores the significance of Saudi Vision 2030, emphasizing the country's commitment to innovation and development across various sectors. The focus on healthcare infrastructure aligns with the broader vision of creating a robust and sustainable healthcare system to cater to the needs of the growing population.
