Saudi Food Show 2025 Showcases Kingdom’s Drive for Food Security and Economic Diversification

The Saudi Food Show 2025 commenced at the Riyadh Front Exhibition & Conference Centre, inaugurated by His Excellency Bandar bin Ibrahim AlKhorayef, Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources. This third edition of the event brings together over 1,300 international exhibitors and industry leaders, reflecting Saudi Arabia's commitment to transforming its food and beverage sector in alignment with Vision 2030.

In his opening address, Minister AlKhorayef emphasized the strategic importance of the food industry in achieving comprehensive food security solutions. He highlighted the Kingdom's achievements, including 100% self-sufficiency in dairy products, 68% in poultry, and 52% in fish. The minister also noted that the food sector comprises more than 1,500 factories with investments exceeding SAR 88 billion, and food exports reaching approximately SAR 20 billion in 2023. Financial support has been substantial, with the Saudi Industrial Development Fund providing 23 loans worth SAR 700 million to food factories, and the Saudi Export-Import Bank offering over SAR 3 billion to support food exports during the same year.

The Saudi Food Summit, a key component of the event, features high-level discussions on the transformation of the Kingdom's food industry. A ministerial panel, including Minister AlKhorayef and His Excellency Abdulrahman Al-Fadhli, Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, is set to discuss the regulatory framework and policies shaping the sector. Topics such as investment, food regulations, supply chain management, and consumer trends are being addressed by expert speakers from both public and private sectors.

The show also introduces SaudiFood Manufacturing, a new platform focusing on the F\&B manufacturing industry. With over 400 global brands from 35 countries participating, the exhibition covers processing, packaging, ingredients, supply chain solutions, and automation. MODON, the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones, plays a strategic role in this initiative, aiming to foster an investment-friendly environment and support the growth of the sector through robust industrial infrastructure and Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies.

Culinary innovation is showcased at Top Table Saudi, where renowned chefs, including Michelin-starred Paco Morales and Albert Adrià, conduct live masterclasses. These sessions highlight the fusion of tradition and modernity in Saudi cuisine, reflecting the Kingdom's cultural diversity and creativity.
