Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the Ruler of Sharjah, officially unveiled the Al Hafiya Lake project in Kalba on Friday. The inauguration marks the culmination of efforts to transform the Kalba region into a flourishing tourist destination.
Al Hafiya Lake, stretching 1.5 kilometers in length, is a centerpiece of the Al Hafiya Rest Area. The lake's glistening waters are surrounded by majestic mountains, creating a breathtaking panorama. The first phase of the project focused on the development of the lake itself. Notably, upon inspecting the lake, Sheikh Sultan directed that the surrounding wall be heightened from two meters to four meters. This modification will allow the lake to hold a staggering 200 million gallons of water, significantly enhancing its capacity.
